Hays Pride is a vibrant community organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and allies in Hays, Kansas. Through engaging events including potlucks, the annual Hays Pride Picnic, and participation in local traditions such as the Wild West and Oktoberfest Parades, Hays Pride fosters inclusion, connection, and visibility. By bringing people together in a welcoming environment, the organization strengthens the local LGBTQIA2S+ community while promoting acceptance and unity throughout the region.

Quarterly Potlucks
Hays Pride hosts potluck meals, open to the entire community, throughout the year to provide a safe social space, to build community, and to celebrate the presence and achievements of LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, families, and organizations in northwest Kansas.
Pride Festival
Hays Pride hosts a Pride Celebration and Picnic during the month of June each year. This annual event provides an opportunity to socialize, to share a community meal, to engage in a variety of outdoor activities, and to learn about resources and opportunities for LGBTQIA2S+ people in northwest Kansas.
Wild West Festival Parade
Hays Pride sponsors an entry in the Hays Wild West Festival’s annual Main Street Parade. All are welcome to join the Hays Pride contingent in the parade.
Oktoberfest/Fort Hays State Homecoming Parade
Hays Pride joins the Fort Hays State University Gender and Sexuality Alliance in marching in the Fort Hays State Homecoming Parade, during Oktoberfest in Hays. All are welcome to join the Hays Pride/FHSU GSA contingent in the parade.
